Robert Nelson was born in Houston, TX on September 01, 1946 to Robert and Norma Nelson. He was married to the love of his life, Mayumi. He was father to 3 girls: Tiffany, Sami, and Katy. Most people who really knew my dad would have said that he was one of the most stubborn people they had ever met. Maybe even crass. But I think we can all agree that this was definitely part of his charm. If there was a good deal to snatch, he was the one to do it. Sometimes, it got a little scary how good he was at getting what he wanted, but he used his smarts to do everything he could to take care of our family. He spent his life building a secure foundation for our family to be set up in, and we will forever be thankful for what he has worked so hard to give us. We will also never forget the love and kindness he showed us also. He was not your typical "family-outing" type of dad, but the moments we spent together were precious. It was the coffee breaks at Jim's. Running errands and the conversations we had in the car. The talks on the back porch while he smoked and we drank coffee. It was the wisdom and advice he gave us that was his love. The values he instilled in us was his love. He also had many friends who were very important in his life. He loved his friends. These people contributed so much happiness to his life. Dale, Andrew, Mike, Shawn, and so many more. I am so thankful for the love you showed our dad. You will never be forgotten.
